Julie Dye was born and raised in Seminole, Florida. She received a BFA in Photography from the Ringling College of Art and Design in 2004. Immediately after graduating from college she relocated to New York City where she lived and worked professionally for the photographer Gregory Colbert. During her time with Mr. Colbert she contributed to the making of his books and artworks, and traveled with his museum, “Ashes and Snow”, to places like Tokyo, Japan, and Mexico City.
In 2009, Julie moved back to Florida where she began her retail business "Julie Dye Craft" and returned to school to recieve an AS in Graphic Design from St Petersburg College in 2011. She currently owns, designs and operates a successful business selling her handmade paper crafts and works as a freelance graphic designer. Julie Dye Craft has been recognized and featured for its product detail and design aesthetic by the Nate Berkus Show, Daytime televsion and WGN Chicago Midday News. Julie Dye has worked as a freelance designer for New York musician Mike Klubnick and local Tampa Bay guitarist Will Scecina of the Will Scecina Group, Phase5 and Busted Blues. |
